Woman recounts how her waist beads were supposedly torn by cops while they were detaining her husband
A police officer who has not been identified is accused of tearing a married woman’s waist jewellery during a raid that led to the arrest of the woman’s husband, Sixtus Arthur.
Veronica Arthur, a woman, said that on July 11, 2023, in the late afternoon, she and her husband were in their room when more than 15 men approached them while pretending to be police officers.
She said that one of the officers grabbed her by the waist and tore her waist beads in the heat of the moment after the men had forcibly detained her husband, according to a report by 3news.com.
